Aki Spicer

If you were ever wondering what Aki Spicer the planning director of Fallon worldwide is doing all day long, then you can find it out now. I just found his Yahoo live cast on the Fallon planning blog. According to his profile you are all the time welcome (I guess during working hours) to have a chat with him about brands and the social web. Let’s see if he is still here, when I finished my meetings.

I’m not sure what do with it but I signed up too. Let’s see what happens. If you feel like – follow me and let’s have a chat about mobile providers and campaign glue.

Be Kind Rewind

First of all, check out the nice be kind rewind website and the trailer below, so that you get the story.

Thanks to Tim for the hint.

Usually I’m not so much into movies but this looks really interesting. First of all I think that Jack Black is a very funny guy and second (and this is the reason why I post it here) the movie reflects what’s going on in the net. As Tim already mentioned in the Werbeblogger Late Night Podcast, the guys in the movie are doing the same like hundreds of thousand YouTube user’s out there. They are producing their own content. And like in the real world the audience enjoy to watch it. People are feed up with the stuff from traditional broadcasters and media. I don’t think that people want a revolution in this case, but I believe that they want to have at least a choice between the traditional and the authentic.

See you in the cinema or on YouTube.

User generated PR

I got the possibility to talk about “User generated PR – Opportunities and Threats for Universities in the Social Media Context” at the University of Zadar on last Friday. The workshop was part of the EU Tempus Programm to improve PR of Croatian Universities. They invited PR Professionals from Universities in Croatia, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Austria to participate at the 2 days workshop. I uploaded my presentation to SlideShare so that all the participants and interested users have access to the file.

here are the two video files that I used in my slides:

Next08 Conference

Next08On the 15th of May 2008 the Interactive Agency SinnerSchrader will host the Next08 Conference again in Hamburg (Germany). The topic of the conference is “get realtime: communication and interaction between brands and customers are getting faster and faster, especially in the web.” I think it’s real interesting how time is passing by so fast nowadays. For example two years ago almost nobody in Europe was on Facebook and when they launched their commercial services some weeks ago, I signed up as a fan of PSFK within 24 hours! But why? Users are consuming information faster and faster but the really innovative brands are also delivering content in that same speed. I had become a fan because I like PSFK and they gave me the chance to participate, even before I have really realized that this opportunity exists.

Next08 already announced some of their speakers for the next year, you can take a look at their blog.I was really impressed when I checked out some of the videos of Next07 on Sevenload.de and iTunes, in my opinion they had a really good speaker list last year. One of my favorites was Martin Oetting, which I could meet some weeks ago at a Haslinger,Keck Event in Linz (Austria).

So let’s see who else will come next may and how much they charge for tix? Maybe see you in May in Hamburg. If you are looking for more details about Next08 join the Facebook Group.
